Isn't it amazing how far we have come?

Isn't it amazing how far we have come with glazing? Imagine life without glass. Or a material so perfectly clear that we can enjoy watching the outside world whilst being protected safely inside from the elements whether they be weather elements or even criminal elements! Glass is a versatile, strong and amazing barrier that provides these wonderful services whilst being virtually invisible. What a long way we have come since the earliest window materials that were first used or have been used along the way to where we are now; to enable light at least whilst keeping out the cold; flattened animal horns, marble, greased paper, blown glass. Today it's perfectly clear how far we've come, just take a look around at all the beautiful architecture in the world or even around your own neighbourhood and imagine life without glass or glazing...
